Genome-Wide Association Study Discovered Favorable Single Nucleotide Poly Morphisms and Candidate Genes Associated with Ramie (<i>Boehmeria Nivea</i> L.) Colloidal Matters

Ramie (Boehmeria nivea L.) bast fiber is one of the most ancient natural fibers, which used for textile only after degumming. Hemicellulose, pectin, and hydrotrope are main colloidal matters in ramie fiber, removed when However, genetic variation control loci poorly understood. Here, we analyzed discovered favorable single nucleotide poly morphisms (SNP) by genome-wide association study using 319 core germplasms. In total, 21, 5, 10 SNPs were found to be significantly key associated with hemicellulose, hydrotrope, respectively, changed amino acid sequences reference genes. Fourteen genes involved various sugars biosynthesis metabolism pathways identified regulate hemicellulose content ramie. Meanwhile, 7 calcium transporting or binding related involve magnesium pectinate-the component pectin. Moreover, 306 their function also discussed. Our first reveals candidate provides tools marker-assisted selection improvement agricultural traits.
